Batista takes a dig at Triple H during Evolution’s reunion: SmackDown 1000

Evolution’s reunion seems to be going well, until Batista hits a sore spot for Triple H.

Dave Bautista returned to WWE during SmackDown‘s 1000th episode for an Evolution reunion … but it ended with a tease for the match against Triple H that he’s been wanting.

Evolution’s segment on SD 1000 featured every member addressing the crowd and talking about how special their time in the group was. Bautista was last to speak and got a big ovation from the crowd.

Following a passionate promo, he ended mentioning that Triple H has never actually beat him one-on-one. This comment prompted a stare down between the two legends, before a slightly awkward hug.

Ronda Rousey Wins Raw Women’s Championship at Summer Slam 2018

Ronda Rousey Wins Raw Women’s Championship at Summer Slam 2018

Ronda Rousey beat Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship earlier tonight at WWE SummerSlam 2018. This makes Rousey the first female wrestler ever to have won a major UFC Championship and a WWE Championship.

Ronda Rousey dominated Alexa Bliss from start to finish, finally putting the champion out of her misery with a grotesque arm bar. Seriously it looked like she tore Alexa’s arm from her socket.

As Rousey celebrated, the commentators called her a pioneer for women’s athletes. She embraced Natalya, the Bella twins, and finally, her husband, Travis Browne. The Rousey era is upon us just in time for WWE’s Evolution PPV.

After one of the highest rated debut matches in professional wrestling, Ronda Rousey made it clear to the world that she was serious about making history in WWE after claiming victory tonight and becoming the new Raw Women’s Champion.

WWE Announces Their First All Women’s Pay Per View Called “WWE Evolution”

WWE Announces Their First All Women’s Pay Per View Called “WWE Evolution”

Last night WWE made a historic announcement that will forever change the landscape of the business. WWE has officially announced their first ever all women’s Pay Per View called “WWE Evolution,” and what an evolution we all truly have witnessed.

Since the dawn of Pro-Wrestling female wrestlers have always been treated far less than their male counterparts. “Diva’s” as they were once called, were always given less opportunities and shorter matches than the men, on every single card.

Over the past few years we have witnessed a real Revolution in women’s wrestling. An Evolution that was truly needed. Time’s are changing and thank God/Buddha/Allah or whoever for that!

No longer are female wrestler’s portrayed as less talented or less worthy. No longer are women being judged solely on their looks!

We have witnessed in the past year alone the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble, Women’s Money in the Bank, Women’s Hell in a Cell, and Women’s Elimination Chamber.

All these matches a few years ago would have never even been a thought!

The female Superstars of WWE are filled with delight over this much needed REVOLUTION! And we along with the rest of the WWE Universe cannot wait for the first ever WWE Evolution PPV featuring only Women Superstars!

WWE has since confirmed WWE Evolution will take place at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island on October 28. The show will feature the Mae Young Classic finals and the RawSmackdown and NXT Women’s Championships will all be defended aswell.

WWE’s press release about WWE Evolution says there will also be an NXT UK Women’s Championship defense.

Ronda RouseyLitaTrish Stratus and Beth Phoenix were all announced for WWE Evolution.

LeBron James signs four-year, $153.3 million deal with Lakers

LeBron James signs four-year, $153.3 million deal with Lakers

Today it’s not Kim Kardashian for once who is breaking the internet but rather NBA all-star LeBron James.

Earlier today it was revealed by ESPN, that LeBron James had singed a four-year deal with the Lakers worth a wopping $153.3 million.

The announcement was made through his agency, Klutch Sports Group, which announced the deal as $154 million (clearly the agency doesn’t realize you are suppose to round down when you have a .3 decimal!)

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst revealed that the fourth year is a player option. It is the longest deal James has signed since inking a six-year contract with the Miami Heat in 2010. His previous three deals were three years or shorter.

“Words do not express the meaning and the feeling this accomplishment brought to the people of Northeast Ohio,” Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert said in a lengthy statement thanking James. “None of this would have happened if LeBron James did not agree to come back home and lead the Cavaliers to the promised land.

“LeBron is a family man, first. We wish his kids, his wife, Savannah, his mother, Gloria, and LeBron himself nothing but the best in the years and decades ahead. LeBron’s connection to Akron, Cleveland and all of Northeast Ohio will most certainly endure as his commitment to the region and his support of many important causes has been impactful to so many kids and families.

“LeBron, you came home and delivered the ultimate goal. Nothing but appreciation and gratitude for everything you put into every moment you spent in a Cavaliers uniform. We look forward to the retirement of the famous #23 Cavs jersey one day down the line …”
