Fox 2018 Fall Schedule: ‘Last Man Standing’ Returns and More!

Earlier today Fox released its 2018 Fall Schedule and it was a little bit surprising.

First and foremost, as you already may know, ‘Last Man Standing’ will be returning to Friday nights. The Tim Allen comedy was cancelled by ABC at the end of 2016-2017 season, however was picked up by Fox this year due to the amount of outcry for its return.

“Last year when ‘Last Man Standing’ was canceled, we really looked for an opportunity to move it to our schedule and we just didn’t have the right show to pair it with, we didn’t have the right opportunity for it,” Gary Newman, CEO of Fox Television Group, revealed to reporters on a conference call earlier today.

Gary Newman, CEO of Fox Television Group, added, “Kind of emboldened by what we saw with ‘Rosanne,’ we saw an opportunity to pair those to shows together on Friday night,” where “Last Man Standing” will lead into new multicam “The Cool Kids.”
